I'll try to explain:
Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid character. There are lots of Vocaloid characters (Vocaloids). Vocaloid itself is a software that makes music, similar to GarageBand if you're familiar with that in that it makes music with computers. The only difference is that Vocaloid also uses voice. Each character has a slightly different voice and range, and they're all super cute!
I don't know if that made any sense... pretty much, ALL her songs are fanmade, but some get super popular (ex. World is Mine; Love is War; Po Pi Po; Magnet, although I don't know if that was originally a Miku song or not...) You can look her up on YouTube, it's kind of cool what she can do but very controversial because lots of people don't think it's "real music".
